6 Divine Names

Recitations and movements

The next step to take is to go further in learning the paths. This is through practices of recitation and breath. Here we find the phrases that re-present or convey the Divine, or One-That-Exists beyond form and is also form through each of the paths. You will need to feel your way through the recitations and attune yourself as highly as you are able to That Truth, That Which is Real, The Only, through each form of sound and motion.

Here you start with sung or spoken word(s). Then you internalize these sounds so they are spoken/sounded inwardly, without verbalization. Then you move toward breath, so you feel the word/sound and function connecting and acting. Finally you move toward function only on the breath. Here you become.

If you pay attention to your consciousness and attributes of the focus you are using, you should feel, understand, and sense the qualities of the path upon which you focus and its relation,in function, to The All, The One. You may also begin, or go further and more deeply, to experience the universality from which it came and to which it points. Here you will be able to discern The Way and how it shows itself through each particular path.

The practice is to take one path and spend a few days, more or less, on the recitation of the name or phrase associated with it. You attuning more each time you do. Perhaps 15 to 30 minutes once per day will be enough. If you are guided to do more, this is up to you and your intuition. Then upon completing a focus of one path you move on to the next for a few days, and so forth until you have finished them all. How do you know if you have finished working at this level with a particular recitation and path? You feel it. You get a real sense and knowing of what it is and its connection to The Real.

After you have finished working with each of the paths for a few day, take a week and go through each in turn for one day. You should now be getting an even stronger and cleared perception of the qualities and distinctions of each way.

Following are descriptions of the movements followed by links to some sample recitations as audio files and a short video of the movements. Each audio has a few different ways of working with the Name and Sounds. Try to become aware of the functions of the sounds. There are also descriptions of the breaths when doing the practice as a breath.

Ahura: Zoroastrian. Ah Hu Ra.
Movement: Turn toward the right, being like the sun. Hands start with fists closed on the heart. Open them on the AAAA sound. This is an opening to the Divine Heart which exists. On HUUU, raise the hands, palms upward. This is toward the Unmanifest. On RRRAAA, bring the hands downward with the fists clenched, strong and powerfully. This is into manifestation.
When doing the practice on the Breath: In-breath on the sound of AAAA. One is attuning to the Divine Heart. There may be a slight sense of greater focus in the left nostril. With HUUU The first breath is out. This is a refined breath. Breath is refining also in sound. Starts at tip of lips and expands higher on inclusive, toward the unmanifest, in which you rest. Then at your can breathe in and out and in, as you wish. Then, on RRRAAA, there is a strong outbreath. Focus is more in the right nostril if any.

Yahuva: Hebrew. Yah HU Vah Movement: The hands are raised, invoking, receptive. The palms are in and at about a 30 degree angle, rising toward eye level. The breath is in the left nostril. Turn toward the left. All of this is done on the YA sound. On HU, you stop and raise your hands more. This is with a feeling toward the unmanifest. On the VA, the hand turn in with the palms down. They sort of sweep horizontally as there is a bringing into form and spreading out over the earth or all of creation. The feel is now toward the right a little.
Breath: The breath in inward on the YAH sound. You are invoking, calling, receptive. The HU, done like the with the other recitations of HU is refined and refining toward the unmanifest and experiencing the unmanifest. You rest is this breathing in and out. ON VAH, there in an out breath, resounding through the heart plane.

On the N sound the hands and arms come down, with the palms up and open. The open more, as if they are falling in the earth. They are held at a 45 degree angle, spreading and bestowing blessings into the world.
Breath: Breathe in on AH. Out on Bwoo with the breath refining on the UU sound. Rest in the UU with the breath refining more, breathing in and out. Then on the N sound, breathing out.

Ram: Hindu. R Ah M Movement: This practice is done while walking forward, strongly. On the R, the perspective if from The One giving into manifestation. This is very positive and strong. The hands are clenched and held from high at shoulder height and lowering to the heart level. This is done as they come down in the front and sides of your body. On the AH sound, open the hands, holding the Divine Heart and all the world. You are being of the Giver, the Provider at this time. On the M the hands lower is a process of giving and blessing. The palms are inward and slightly down, covering the world.
Breath: On the R sound the breath goes out. The AH is held in heart, resonating. This is done on the in-breath and then refines. On the M sound, the breath goes out and then can also come in. It has qualities of both the positive and receptive.

The hands lower to the heart level with the arms closing in a bit and the hands then turn out, bestowing blessing.
Breath: The breath is receiving on the M sound, so it is an in=breath. The UU repeats that refining as above. It is out on AH.

AllahHu: Islam. AHL LHA HU Movement: On the AHL sound there is the experience of form. The hands act as the sun. They are at shoulder level, hands turned outward. On the LHA the hands raise upward and flatten, receiving. They rise on HU toward the unmanifest. Then on the next in-breath there is the next repetition of AHL. Carry the hands down toward the heart. They turn out toward form - manifestation.
Breath: This is in on the AHL, out on the LHA, and in and out, resting in HU. Note the while not written this way, as you approach HU, the first step is an in-breath on the H, which can be sounded as EH.
