Working with readings and practices

Some suggestions in approach

Try to find a consistent time to work with these. Increasing capacity, skills, abilities, function, and awareness takes time and doing. Do not be a bystander and hope you will increase abilities. It takes correct effort; and that takes a committment which is followed through. You work with these.

Remember that accompanying these practices are readings to use - to work with in a practical meditative manner. If you do that it will give an overall framework and intellectual understanding - at the least - of some aspects of healing. Meditation work is just that - work. It takes effort to set aside the time to consider what is being said. It takes effort to consistently approach each sentence or thought and consider from a feeling, guided perspective. It takes more effort to place yourself within your Beloved, Intelligence through heart/breath and follow that link so it infuses you with that knowing feeling which can only come through heart; and it takes effort and time for you to accommodate and absorb - integrate and assimilate - what you receive, and also for it to grow.

One approach to take with each reading section is to read one section of a larger writing or a complete smaller writing in its entirety. Then go over it line by line, thought by thought, feeling by feeling. Try to attune to the writer and his perspective as you do this. Feel what is needed for you to place your attention on. Do this as long as it takes and that you feel is appropriate for you for the particular day or evening. Then, take the composite of all that was said and try to let it wash over you. Become more receptive and perceptive. Let bubble to the surface what will, and feel the rest percolating to come forth more.

As to working with practices, again, you will find that consistency is one of the keys. Do not allow yourself to become lax. Follow your guidance and intuition as to what you should do and then try to keep to that. Ask yourself the question of what is appropriate and THEN LISTEN: to your heart, the sense, or however you feel or perceive.

Another key to working with practices is not to be satisfied with the lesser. That means to look for the deepening and more real aspects. Let them grow. Seek how That Which Is may guide you and lead you toward Itself and the real meaning and possibilities - potential - of what you try.

Finally, pay attention to the guidance of heart and your intuition in leading you to other means of work. Look for the opportunities that are given and the doors that open or close. When anything closes, something also opens.

Be well and happy.
